The Accounting History International Emerging Scholars’ Colloquium (AHIESC) will be held as part of the 13th Accounting History International Conference (13AHIC) being held in Wollongong, Australia, from 8 to 11 July 2026. The AHIESC will be conducted on the first day of the 13AHIC, enabling up to 12 emerging scholars in accounting history to present their research proposals.
A panel of experienced accounting history scholars, including the journal editors and guest speakers, will comment on the formal presentations made by each participant and offer constructive advice and encouragement to all presenters. The panel members will be confirmed by January 2026.
Individuals who wish to express an interest in attending the AHIESC are requested to forward their research proposals, brief biographical details, and a Curriculum Vitae (CV) to Dr Carolyn Fowler no later than 31 March 2026 at the following address:
Research proposals of no more than six pages (1.5-spaced) should contain the following information:
- Project (working) title.
- Background to the study (or scenario for investigation).
- Main research objective. To be stated in a single, succinct sentence.
- Concise statement of key research question(s).
- Theoretical concepts (if applicable).
- Research methodology, including period selection.
- Limitations of the study.
- Expected (original) contribution of the study to the literature.
- List of no more than 12 key references relating to the proposed study.
Formal invitations to attend the Colloquium will be issued upon receipt and review of research proposals.
