- Abstract submissions open: Monday, 4 May 2026
- Abstract submission close: Sunday, 14 June, 2026
- Authors will be notified of the outcome of the abstract submission the week of 27 July 2026.
Presentation formats
Abstract submissions will be reviewed and allocated to 3-minute rapid presentations or 10-minute longer presentations. Both presentation types will have additional time for questions.
Themes
Abstracts are invited for the following symposium sub-themes:
- Demonstrating the value of rehabilitation: models of care, innovation in service delivery, and pathways
- Using data to improve outcomes: benchmarking, quality, and performance insights
- Translating evidence into practice: implementation, innovation, and real-world impact
- Person-centred rehabilitation: goal setting, engagement, and lived experience
- Equity and access in rehabilitation services
Abstract guidelines
Abstracts are limited to 300 words and should be structured using the following subheadings:
- Background
- Methods
- Results
- Discussion
- Implications for clinical practice (2-3 bullet points)
The abstract should be submitted by the presenting author with any co-authors also listed.
Terms and conditions of submission
By submitting an abstract, you agree to the following:
- Submissions are accepted on the basis that all presenting authors must register and pay the appropriate Symposium fee by the close of early bird registration.
- All presenting authors agree to attend online and present at the Symposium.
- If your abstract submission is accepted, you give the AROC permission to publish your abstract and presentation title on the Symposium website and in the Symposium Program.
- You confirm that the abstract submission has been approved by all authors.
- The number of abstract submissions is not limited.
Please note: AROC is not responsible for abstract submissions that are not successfully received through the submission website.
