Venue

The Hope Theatre at the University of Wollongong (UOW) is a vital performing arts venue. Located within Building 40, it's integral to UOW's creative arts programs, especially for Theatre Studies and Performance.

Named after UOW's first Chancellor, Hon. Robert Hope, this purpose-built theatre supports diverse productions: theatre, music, media, and visual arts. Complementing it is "Backstage Hope," a three-story center for rehearsals and technical theatre, offering hands-on experience with professional lighting, sound, and video control.
