Early-to-Mid Career Researcher Conference

Partner Engagement and Conference Grant

The Partner Engagement and Conference Grant supports meaningful collaboration between researchers and external partners, creating opportunities to strengthen connections between research, industry, government, community organisations, and the broader public. Through this initiative, conference participants can expand professional networks, share knowledge, and develop partnerships that enhance the impact and translation of research beyond academia.

Partner Engagement

We invite industry, government, and community partners to express interest in engaging with the EMCR Conference.

Why partner with us?

Engaging with the EMCR Conference provides opportunities to foster professional networks with emerging and established researchers, and explore potential collaborations. Partners can identify shared challenges, explore cross-institutional collaboration opportunities, and connect with emerging research talent, while building visibility within the UOW research community.

At this stage, we are confirming formats and will work directly with interested partners to shape their involvement.

EMCR Conference Grant Scheme

The EMCR Conference Grant Scheme supports collaborative, interdisciplinary research projects that emerge from connections made at the 2026 UOW Early-to-Mid Career Researcher (EMCR) Conference.

The scheme aims to:

  • Support innovative interdisciplinary research collaborations.
  • Build capacity and leadership among Early-to-Mid Career Researchers (EMCRs).
  • Enhance collaboration among UOW researchers, external partners, and industry.
  • Align research with National / UOW’s strategic priorities, sustainable development goals and the conference sub-themes.

Grants will provide seed funding to enable new research ideas, collaborations, and outputs that position projects for future external funding and impact.
