The 9th International Symposium on Mine Safety Science and Engineering and Green Mining Conference 2026 will showcase the latest advancements in green mining, safety, and sustainability.
Hosted by the University of Wollongong, and organised by the ARC ITTC Innovative Composites for the Future of Sustainable Mining Equipment with support from the International Committee on Mine Safety Science and Engineering, the conference will highlight cutting-edge technologies in mine hazard prevention, safety monitoring, and the integration of renewable energy in mining operations.
Key themes include green mining practices, critical mineral extraction, coal burst prevention, smart mining technologies, environmental impact and rehabilitation, carbon capture, and artificial intelligence applications in mining.
